Junior Sales Consultant

We are looking for individuals with a love for the nonprofit sector who are willing to put their sales skills to work helping organizations utilize the GoodThreads merchandise fundraising solutions to their fullest extent. We are passionate about our customers and want you to be the same. This position is in Los Angeles, CA.

As a Junior Sales Consultant, you will establish new relationships with organizations in a defined sales territory primarily via phone contacts (minimal outside travel involved). You will need to be able to successfully cultivate those relationships and present the value of the GoodThreads solution.

Responsibilities include:
- Reaching and exceeding monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
- Maximizing direct and indirect sales in a geographic territory
- Qualifying sales opportunities
- Delivery of product demonstrations and proposals
- Continuously updating and maintaining prospect database for pipeline management, daily activity and forecast data
- Utilizing sales force automation tool: Salesforce.com
- Employing the use of solution selling to investigate and identify customer needs and to determine solutions and build relationships
- Staying abreast of changes in the nonprofit market sector that impact our products and services
- Collaborating with other departments in the company to foster further growth

Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in direct sales – inside or outside sales but an emphasis on inside sales is preferred
- Excellent communication (telephone in particular) and presentation skills
- Proficiency with online meeting tools and Microsoft Office product suite
- A successful track record in over-quota achievement
- A strong work ethic
- A self-starter with an extremely goal-oriented attitude
- Experience in working at or volunteering with nonprofit organizations is preferred
- Experience in selling technology and/or merchandise preferred
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college

Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will play a vital role in setting the marketing strategy for GoodThreads, as well as sharing the message about who GoodThreads is and what we do. At GoodThreads, we like to say that we make “shirts that tell stories.” Your role will be to tell the GoodThreads’ story.

This role will be largely focused on communications with our constituent groups through public relations, social media, email, and events. Working within the company’s sales and marketing teams, the person in this role will set the strategy for company communications, including using the optimal message and medium to reach various audiences.

Responsibilities include:
- Being the main advocate within the organization for the company’s brand and messaging, keeping communications consistent and representative of the brand
- Set on going marketing strategy and goals for the organization, making sure that they align tightly with overall business, sales, and operational goals
- Adhere to the overall marketing budget, while also able to recalibrate it as necessary through the year
- Set public relations strategy and vision for execution
- Writing, editing, and distributing press releases for optimal exposure, as well as conducting media relations, including pitching key stories and fielding reporter inquiries
- Contributing daily to the overall social media strategy, including making frequent, audience-appropriate contributions to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and blog
- Developing, editing, and promoting additional content as needed, including case studies, testimonials, best practices, and webinars
- Identify overall event/conference strategy for the organization, as well as executing on event details, including overseeing sponsorship or exhibition details with event organizers, arranging event promotional details, managing various vendors as required
- Executing and improving upon email communications strategy, including managing the design, content, and distribution of multiple email series to various audiences, as well as measuring the program carefully and making adjustments as necessary for optimal results

Requirements:

We are looking for an exceptional candidate for the Marketing Manager role with 5-7 years of experience in marketing, brand management, and/or public relations. The ideal candidate will not only possess applicable experience for this role, but also have a deep passion for nonprofits and/or social causes.

- 5-7 years in marketing, brand management, and/or public relations
- Exceptional communication skills are fundamental for this role
- Experience with writing and distributing press releases strongly preferred
- Existing relationships with media contacts is a plus; relationships with media with nonprofit or philanthropy beats are a strong plus
- Strong familiarity with using social media in a business context, with ability to produce multiple pieces of social media content per day
- Outstanding writing skills, with an excellent sense of writing for various audiences and easily adapting to our company “voice”
- Strong blogging skills/experience are a plus
- Experience in execution of both small and large scale events, including management of vendors and supreme attention to detail and commitment to deadlines
- Experience with email marketing, including working with designers, writing compelling copy, and using email distribution tools required
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college
