The Information We Collect From You as a Site Consumer and/or Donor
If you purchase and/or donate via a GoodThreads-powered store, we collect the basic information necessary to support the processing of our service, i.e. your first and last name, credit or debit card details (including card type, card number and expiry date) and billing address. We will only use your payment details for the purpose of processing your purchase and/or donation via our payment partner. We will automatically pass on relevant collected transaction data to the nonprofit that will benefit from your purchase and/or donation.
Choice Opt-Out
We may also use customer contact information from your registration or purchase form to send you information about our company only; however you can opt-out at any time as all newsletters from GoodThreads include the option to unsubscribe. You also may be contacted by GoodThreads to discuss the story behind your store purchase.
GoodThreads does not participate in any marketing affiliate programs that allow access to users’ information for purposes of opt-in email broadcasts, spamming or other marketing purposes. We will only use your personal information in order to authenticate purchasers and Federal age-limit restrictions (16CFR Part 312).
If you choose to have GoodThreads delete your account, send an email request to support@GoodThreads.com. If you would like to stop receiving product updates or other GoodThreads.com communication, simply send an email with “unsubscribe” in the subject line to unsubscribe@GoodThreads.com.
Nonprofits Use of Personal Information
GoodThreads passes along personal information to the nonprofit of the store you have purchased and/or donated for. If you wish to stop receiving further communications from a nonprofit, please contact them directly.
